What is the difference between electric and hybrid cars?

All our electric and hybrid cars have an electric motor built in, making them more environmentally friendly and economical.
Electric cars
The electric car has only one electric motor and runs on pure power from rechargeable batteries. The batteries can be recharged by charging the car at a charging station. More public charging stations are being installed every day and more large workplaces are also investing in charging stations. In addition, it is also possible to buy or lease a charging box yourself, so you can charge your car at home. How far electric cars can go between charges can vary from model to model and depends on the size of the battery, your driving and the time of year, among other things. Electric cars are quiet, have automatic transmissions and most Danes' driving needs can be met by an electric car.
The electric car is for those who care about the environment and want to be as 'green' as possible. This type of car is perfect for those who live in the city and do not drive long distances daily, although most of the vehicles are suited for this as well. The latest electric cars on our site can go up to 610 km.
Plug-in hybrid cars
The plug-in hybrid car is a combination of an electric car and a mild hybrid car. The car's battery is larger than that of a mild hybrid and can be charged at a charging station, as the word "plugin" indicates. When driving, the car first uses the rechargeable battery and when it runs out of power, the hybrid technology takes over. What's more, you can choose which technology you want to drive on, with electric for urban driving and internal combustion for highway use.
Like the hybrid, the plug-in hybrid is good for longer distance driving. It is ideal for those who cannot cover all their driving needs with an electric car, but would also like to be able to drive on pure electricity, for example in town and on the highways.
Mild hybrid cars
The hybrid car is a combination of an electric motor and an internal combustion engine running on diesel or petrol. The battery in the electric motor charges itself when the car brakes, so you don't have to charge it at a charging station. Hybrid technology therefore helps cars get more mileage and is often referred to as "mild hybrid".

The hybrid car is a good solution for those who drive long distances and still want to protect the environment and save fuel. You don't have to rely on a charging station, and the type of car is good for those who drive longer distances or commute longer distances to and from work.
